The Best and Most Instagram-Worthy Christmas Markets in London
Christmas is a time for good food, group get-togethers, and the all-important Christmas markets. And while they might be an essential part of modern festivities, they date back to the Late Middle Ages when the tradition began in Germany. The Striezelmarkt in Dresden is even considered to be the first genuine Christmas market in the world and was founded in 1434.
Today, you can expect pop-up stalls selling everything from delicious hot dogs and boozy hot drinks to stocking fillers and baubles. As the UK’s capital, London is home to some incredible markets too — whether you’re looking for a traditional set-up or something a little different. Here, we explore some of the most popular London Xmas markets.
